A few weeks ago, we started looking for the first group of people to be our 4FiiT ambassadors to help us encourage and reward our gym members. We’re happy to say we found them - meet our final ambassador - Kate!
Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m Kate and I’m 47. I have been attending Xercise4less Darlington, and have been a member for a couple of months. I am also a dog lover, and regularly go walking with my two rottweilers to keep fit!
How has the 4FiiT programme helped you?
So far I’ve managed to lose a total of 2 stone, and I’ve also bought myself a yoga ball and some weights so I can carry on training at home. I suffered from anxiety in the past and going to the gym has really helped with this, which I am really thankful for. I’m also happy to admit that I’ve massively changed my lifestyle over the past year and stopped smoking and drinking, which is a huge achievement!
What is it you enjoy about the 4FiiT programmes?
I joined one of the recent Transformation Camps with my neighbour, and I am loving it - although I’m quite sad it’s coming to an end so soon! This is the first time I have done something like this and I have noticed that I’m changing shape. I enjoy the Transformation Camps because of the great community around them, which has helped me to meet great new people who are now friends. I also joined due to the motivation of the group training, and it has really helped me. I’ve already booked a place in the January Transformation Camp and I’m really looking forward to it!
What are your main goals?
I want to focus on losing weight to start off with - the Transformation Camp has helped me to lose 5.2kg, and I’m hoping to lose more! I also want to concentrate on improving my strength.
How can we keep up to date with your fitness journey?
I’ve recently started posting on Instagram (@taming_the_shrew_) more and regularly post pictures - and I’ll be sharing my journey as a 4FiiT ambassador on there too, so keep an eye out!
